Gwinnett School of Mathematics, Science, and Technology (GSMST), has been awarded a $30,000 grant from Arconic Foundation. The money will be used to help transform six classrooms into innovation labs where design, fabrication, and the engineering design process can come to life in a maker’s environment.
It is the first phase of a $230,000 project that involves redesigning and outfitting 15 rooms. Through support from Arconic Foundation, the first Innovation Lab is already under construction, allowing GSMST to enhance its delivery of world-class instruction towards improvement. GSMST Principal IV Bray is excited about the project, saying “GSMST is built on three pillars of instruction. Biosciences has led the way during our first decade of STEM excellence but we are working hard on our other two pillars— Emerging Technologies and Engineering— and we are excited to welcome Arconic Foundation as a true partner along the way.”
