The lottery application process for the 2019-2020 Freshman Class opened on November 1st.
GSMST began accepting lottery applications on November 1, 2018, for current 8th grade students residing in Gwinnett County and who are interested in becoming a member of the 2019-2020 Freshman Class at GSMST.
It is strongly recommended that interested students and parents attend one of the informational meetings described below. During these meetings, critical details will be shared and questions will be answered to help inform families about the GSMST experience.
Students who are applying for a valid lottery number must meet all of the lottery qualifiers detailed at the bottom of this page.
The information presented will be the same at all three meetings.

GSMST Lottery Qualifiers
The GSMST lottery application is open to current eighth grade students who meet all three criteria below:
1. Student meets all eligibility requirements for GCPS attendance (e.g. residency in Gwinnett County outside Buford City limits)
2. Student completes a recognized 8th grade curriculum no later than June 1, 2019
3. Student satisfies a math requirement as shown below:

|A||Accelerated Algebra (or higher)||Earn a passing score for the entire course and the EOC assessment, if required, by June 1, 2019|
Earn a fall semester course grade of "A" (90-100) and an EOC assessment score of "distinguished" (level 4)
Score 550 or higher on the math portion of the SAT or PSAT 8/9
